Ice Hawks vs Rebels Game Recap!
As we flooded into the rink, smiles were everywhere. Whether we were taping sticks, having a pre-game snack, or catching up on how things were going, it was clear we all felt confident walking into this game. That confidence showed in the warmup. Even though we were down by one goal after the first period, we didn’t let it affect our play. Our main focus was getting the puck out of our own zone, knowing Regina is a tough team that’s always quick to pressure the puck—especially in front of our net. Thankfully, Sydney Martin was on top of her game, making unreal saves to keep us in it.
A few goals later, we were tied 3-3 heading into the third period. Then, Haley Braun made a perfect pass to Sam Jenson, who put us ahead. But the battle wasn’t over yet. We had to kill off a tough four-minute penalty in the final stretch. But we hung on, claiming our first-ever victory against the Regina Rebels. We left the rink that night just as we arrived—ecstatic and proud.
