The Taylor Toyota Lynx were in Regina to face off against the Regina Junior Rebels Saturday night!
The first period started off slow with each team struggling to get into their own groove. Not the story though for Lynx Goalie, Payton Schlamp who stood on her head this game, making incredible stops after stop throughout the game.
Lynx opened up scoring in the 1st, during a 3 on 5 and the Rebels answered before the end of the 1st.
Both the Lynx are Rebels stayed true to history between these two teams, bringing strong and physical hockey throughout the game as the ladies on each team use their physical strength to get control of the puck.
Rebels were up 2-1 through 40 minutes, with some big battles for the puck in corners.
In the final 20 minutes, the Rebels got two in on rebounds in front of the net, despite some highlight-reel worthy saves by Schlamp!
