Christmas Break Feature - Regina Wild Laiken Swan

In this "SJFHLers to watch" we feature veteran forward Laiken Swan from the Regina Wild.

Although 25-26 marks her first season with the Regina squad, this is #12's 3rd season in the SJFHL. Swan posted impressive numbers with the Klippers in 23-24 and 24-25.

She joins an already explosive Regina offence and is linemate with the league's all time points leader, Nyah Lang. In just 9 games, Laiken leads the league in assists (10) and is 2nd only to Lang in points, trailing by 1 with 18 points to Lang's 19.

Swan was voted to the First All Star team in the 23-24 season and is 2nd all time point getter amongst active players, while she is tied for 4th overall, she has more games yet to come.

We ask every feature player the same questions, Laiken gave us these answers:

"My home town is Plenty, Saskatchewan.

My mom and dad signed me up for hockey when I was 4 years old and I have loved it ever since.

My favourite thing about playing in the SJFHL is that it gives young women the opportunity to continue playing competitive hockey after high school.

I think my greatest contribution has been my offensive production, as I’m one of the top point leaders on my team and in the league.

I am currently working toward a nursing degree at the University of Saskatchewan and I also work as a server at Hudson’s Pub in Saskatoon. I plan to continue playing hockey after the SJFHL."

With her puck handling and the threat she poses to score every time she is on the ice, Laiken Swan IS definitely one of the SJFHLers to watch.
